Hey Everyone,

It’s that time a year again that I make a post.

So let me get a few things out of the way first, I’ve started a second job as a Material Handler at one of Canada’s highest rated courier’s, I’m still keeping my primary job as a Technical Engineer though.

We have a few projects on the go for Renegade Studios this year, one of them being the City builder and another one being a hosting platform I’ll tell you about it a bit below.

The reason why we are working on a hosting platform, besides the additional income, is because of how CentOS (the operating system we use for our primary site) is handling it’s update model and WHM/CPanel moving away from supporting CentOS… And I have no intentions of waiting around for them to start support Ubuntu or Debian.

That being said, our primary goal with the hosting platform is to lay out the ground work to develop our out Web Host Manager / Webhost Control Panel. We don’t intend to fully compete with Cpanel or Plesk but we feel that they do not meet our needs.

The other reason were doing this is we want to start reselling space so that we can start having a flow of income from Renegade Studios, as well as support some of our other efforts such as Project City and what ever other games we decide to develop.
